Sunbelt Kerio Personal Firewall 4.3.635

A program that safeguards computers against Internet-born attacks. KPF detects break-in attempts by various hacker tools. It displays each application's activity at any given moment, monitors if an application attempts to access the Internet or modify or launch other applications, and can block applications from launching, being modified, starting other applications or accessing the Internet. KPF filters on-line ads and banners and blocks annoying pop-up and pop-under windows. It can block cookies and restrict the sending of sensitive information (credit card numbers, social security numbers, email addresses etc). It alerts the user every time a new phone number is dialed by the modem. If a malicious application changes the Internet connection settings, Kerio Personal Firewall asks the user to confirm the change, which makes the computer less vulnerable to the so-called modem hijacking whereby the modem configuration is deliberately changed by malware.
Kerio Personal Firewall is easy to set up; it can be administered remotely; it can be run as a service; and you can set time intervals to restrict all scheduled tasks to certain time ranges.
Evaluation period is 30 days, whereafter KPF switches to the "free mode" with fewer features.
